With this class students are going to explore the wonders of different ways to create mosaic. First students will make a partial mosaic on natural stone where only the image is portrayed, leaving the beauty of the stone around the object.Next, a “full” mosaic on plywood will be created where the entire piece will be filled out and grouted.Students will work with glass, ceramics, and tile leaning how to break the pieces safely to make appropriate pieces for their artwork.
